Demand for lithium-ion batteries has been increasing greatly for several years. Using lithium-ion in portable electronics, cars, communication means and other applications requires higher reliability and improved safety. The batteries should continue to function well under various different climate conditions, without this leading to dangers. This has greatly increased the demand for temperature and climate chambers for testing lithium-ion batteries.
Espec’s various lithium-ion climate simulation test systems all feature a user-friendly LCD touch panel controller on the front of the chamber from which the test system can be monitored, programmed and controlled. Thanks to the integrated Ethernet port, remote communication with the chamber is also possible.
The battery test systems also feature some safety options, such as a visual warning lamp tower, pressure relief valve, emergency stop button and mechanical door lock. Depending on the possible hazard levels (according to EUCAR) that can occur while testing your lithium batteries, several other safety options can be installed.
